I have 3 children, the first was born in my late 20's and the last in my late 30's.  Two were born in hospital and the last at home. My youngest is now at University and this gives me the opportunity to devote my time to supporting and caring for new Parents before, during and after childbirth. I do wish there had been Doulas around when I had my children.  Although my experiences were good I felt at the time, the addition of a doula for myself and my husband would have definitely made the experience generally better and less daunting.  My husband is now retired and we live in Wiltshire with our black Labrador and aged cat.

Having done Kicki's course I realised this was absolutely what I wanted to do and loved every minute of it.

 

I seem to have a natural want to nurture and look after people especially new Mums
